A Pictorial  History

ECOA Logo

The history of any church cannot be realistically displayed in a few short pages. Although our parish history officially dates back to 1957, there is much to tell. The dream of a Episcopal Church for West Knoxville began when West Knoxville was the "country". Ascension is a product of our communities growth but more importantly, the faith of numerous men and women who had a vision to transform that image into a dynamic and growing church community.Pictured below are just some of the pictorial highlights of  that represent our parish history. We invite you to visit our church library and read the exciting story of this parish for yourself. If you want to know more about the inside of the church go to the  church terminology page.
