The Smokn’ Brother will prepare pork tenderloins on Good Friday between 4 – 5 PM and smoke them on Saturday. Danny needs help both daays to season the pork on Friday and then wrap them on Saturday at noon PM. The tenderloins will be sold on Saturday between 12 and 2 PM and Easter Sunday after the services.for $15.00 each.
Justice Knox: the Nehamiah Assembly is on May 6, 7:00 – 8:30 PM at Central UMC on the 3rd Avenue. The topics are Restorative Justice, Home for the Homeless, and the Criminalization of the Mentally Ill. This is the third year and we need to support this effort.
Friday, May 17 at 9:00 AM is the Family Promise Golf Tournament at the Wee Golf Course in East Knoxville off Riverside Drive. Players are needed
Retreat: I sent out the cabin assignment and a map of the campus on Tuesday night. There are only 2 changes. Allen Douglass will room with Emmitt in Rhododendron and Greg will room with Steve Hagy in Ash. I also offered to purchase “New Seeds of Contemplation” and 5 guys responded. If there are more men who would like for me to buy the book, let me know. I can get it with free shipping.
It was suggested I get a few cases of bottled water. Are there other requests? Cheese, crackers, mixed nuts Doritos, salsa, kettle chips, etc?
