We opened with the Bonhoeffer reading and Allan led us in a prayer.
Danny has gotten several request for a Smokin’ Brother event. We’ll do it for Easter. The details will be discussed in the next few weeks.
Roy warned us about driving down Alcoa Hwy.
Justice Knox: Michael Anderson, a nationally recognized authority on Homlessness, will be at the meeting this coming Monday night, April 2, at First Presbyterian Church on State Street. He will meet with the city and county authorityies the next day. There will also be a rally at Central Methodist Church on April 8, 7 – 8 PM. Everyone is encouraged to attend both meetings and especially the rally on April 8.
On May 17 Family Promise will have their second annual golf tournament. Monty moved that we be a hole sponsor for $250. The motion was seconded and passed. Anyone can come and play. It will be best ball at the Wee Golf Course in East Knoxville on Riverside Drive.
We’ve been asked to remove tables abd chairs after the Agape meal on Maundy Thrusday.
Lake Logan Retreat: May 10 – 12, We have 39 men going if Herky goes. (We want Herky to go!)Bill Perry is not going but he paid for Fr. Christopher and we should thank him for that kind gesture. We welcome Sam Rotolo this year. We will leave the church at 1:00 PM on the 10th and return to the church by 11:30 AM on the 12th. Please remind me several times if you are riding of the van.
