Today is Peanut Butter Sunday, Ascension’s annual Food and Fund collection to support FISH Hospitality Pantries. The funds collected will help feed over 8,000 families served each month from the five Knoxville food relief pantries. Each $5 donation feeds a family of 4 for 3 days. An annual donation of $600 ($50 per month) means that one family can eat every day of the year. Contact Jim Wright at 207-8572 or email@example.com for more information. Please make checks payable to FISH Hospitality Pantries.
Summer Livin’ at Ascension
Each Sunday this Summer is themed whimsically to make church and especially coffee hour a fun opportunity for you to socialize with your church family in a relaxed and summer-lazy atmosphere.
Today is Peanut Butter Sunday ~ At both the 8 and 10 am services, bring jars of Peanut Butter and/or FISH envelopes to help support the ministry of FISH Hospitality Pantries. A special Coffee Hour will follow the 10 am service in the Parish Hall.
July 31st is Ice Cream Sunday ~ Our last Sunday in our Summer Livin’ at Ascension series will help cool you off in these hot Summer days. The Labyrinth Guild is hosting Coffee Hour with an indoor/outdoor feature you cannot miss. After the 10 am service, head outside to the Cruzin’ Cone to get an ice cream treat. After that, the Labyrinth Guild has outdoor tours of the outdoor labyrinth and an indoor labyrinth in the Parish Hall available.
We hope you have enjoyed the Summer Livin’ at Ascension series this summer. If you have ideas for next year’s series, let the Parish Office know.
