Larry Beach will open the church and make the coffee on September 12 and 26. We need someone to open the church and make the coffee on the 19th. I’ll be out of town during September.
Bill Perry asked if there is interest in carpooling or maybe taking the van to Mary Lee’s funeral to support Paul.
Greg expressed Thanks for all the help with Family Promise. Ann sent us a cake to express her thanks.
Family Promise and Bluegrass Festival is this Saturday. Monty needs help moving the tables. Meet at the church at 11:00 AM and at Sacred Heart at 7:30 PM if you can help.
Smokin Brothers: meet at the church at 4 PM on Friday, 8/30 to season the meat. Andrew will open the Church at 7 AM for Danny to get the meat and smoke it; Danny could use some help. He passed around a sheet to sign up. We need help wrapping the tenderloins about 12 PM. We will take donations for the tenderloins from 1 – 3 PM on Saturday and after each of the services on Sunday, 9/1. $15.00 each
St Paul Episcopal church will have their annual picnic on Sept 19. We will provide the pull pork and cook the pork butt on Friday Sept 17. Details will follow in later weeks.
KMA opens the Whistler & Company exhibit on Thursday, August 22. There is a reception from 5:30-7:30, cash bar.
We made a donation to ST LUKES of $2,500 donation. Monty read a letter from Mother Gail thanking us for our donation and help.
The Episcopal Men’s Conference was a great success. We had 5 men’s attend from Ascension and hope to have at least 10 men attend next year. Over 250 men attended from throughout the state. The high point was Bishop Cole’s sermon on Sunday morning
