Requirements to vote are: you must be sixteen years of age, or older; and a registered communicant of the parish.
Choose Our Next Bishop // Are you interested in helping choose our next Bishop? Do you know someone who is? Nominate yourself or another parishioner to serve as an Ascension delegate to convention. You would need to be available for convention on February 10-11, and again on July 28. Submit nominations to Tom Ladd, Senior Warden (firstname.lastname@example.org), or to Rob Gieselmann (email@example.com). The vestry will select delegates at its December meeting.

Nativity Pageant: Role Casting // Calling all Angels, Donkeys, and Sheep (as well as other roles)! Our annual pageant this year will take place on December 18 during the 10:00 am service. Please come to a meeting tomorrow, November 21, from 6:00-7:30 pm in Room 213 & 211 to cast roles and get a detailed schedule for practices.
Thanksgiving Services // Ascension will offer two Thanksgiving services this year. On Wednesday, November 23, at 4:00 pm a service of “Thanksgiving in the Woods” will be held in the labyrinth garden (weather permitting). This simple, reflective service calls us to express our gratitude for God’s many gifts and to celebrate those blessings with an intimate communion. The second service will be held on Thanksgiving Day, November 24, in the Chapel at 10:00 am with a traditional service of Word and Eucharist.
Parish Supper // There will be no Parish Supper this week due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
Do you like to bake? // Are you looking for ways to serve the church? The Holy Bakers are looking for a few new people to help bake communion bread for Advent and Lent (the seasons when we use loaf bread rather than wafers). If you are interested, contact Barbara Craig for more information: email@example.com.

The Episcopal Church of the Ascension maintains two prayer lists. The first list is for parishioners, staff, and their immediate families, and prayers are offered for these people during Sunday services. Their names can be found on the white prayer board in the office area. Names will remain on this list for three weeks.
The second list is called the Supplemental Prayer list and includes additional names as requested by you. The people on the Supplemental Prayer list are prayed for by members of those leading morning and evening prayer at the Daily Office. Copies of this list may be found on the counter in the reception area. Names will remain on this list as needed for appropriate prayer support.
Ascension Cares – No One Walks Alone
Caring and compassion for fellow parishioners in need is central to our service to God and each other. All of our pastoral care ministries fall under the umbrella of the “Ascension Cares” ministry to ensure that ‘No One Walks Alone’ in times of spiritual or emotional crisis. This is facilitated by pastoral care leaders called shepherds. They see that the pastoral care needs in the community are met with one of Ascension’s many ministries. An email to your Shepherd team will go to the clergy as well.
Team 1 Last Names A-L
This list is administered by Annette Burton and Bill Perry.
Team 2 Last Names M-Z
This list is administered by Emily Vreeland and Bettie Corey.
