Centering Prayer with Lectio Divina
Centering Prayer/Lectio Divina meets in the church library from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. each Thursday. It is an open meeting, and all are invited.
The format begins with 20 minutes of silent centering prayer, followed by a recitation of The Lord’s Prayer, Lectio Divina is three oral readings of the gospel for next Sunday. Personal reactions are shared; however, this is not bible study.
The group meeting closes with each member offering a personal prayer. Participation is voluntary, with each member having the right to pass on their turn to read, discuss, or pray.

Prayer Labyrinth Walk
As part of Ascension's Becoming Beloved Community initiative in 2020, Labyrinth walks were started as a way to "take a closer walk with God" every Sunday afternoon. All are welcome to come to the Labyrinth on Sunday afternoons at the new time of 4:30 pm, weather permitting. Contact Emily Vreeland if any questions (emilyvree@aol.com/865-690-2929).
