Acolyte
This group assists priests in Sunday services and other special services. From Kindergarten to adults, this is a wonderful way to meaningfully participate in Sunday worship.

Altar Guild
The Altar Guild is a volunteer group of church members responsible for preparing and maintaining the altar, vestments, and vessels for worship services. Their duties include laundering linens, caring for candles, setting up for services, and ensuring the sanctuary is ready for celebrations like weddings, funerals, and regular worship. This ministry is often a quiet, spiritual service, focusing on preparing the space for communal worship.

Chancel Master
During worship services, chancel masters coordinate participation of other lay ministers to ensure a smooth and meaningful worship experience.

Choirs
At Ascension, music is for everyone!  Two choral groups, parish Choir and the Boys and Girls Choir, sing each Sunday morning at the later worship service (September through May). There are also a number of special programs throughout the year. The Ascension Handbell Choir is an important component of our music program, as well.

Eucharistic Ministers
A Eucharistic Minister is a lay person authorized to administer the consecrated elements at a celebration of Holy Eucharist under the direction of the Clergy.

Eucharistic Visitors are lay people authorized to administer the consecrated elements of Holy Eucharist to members of the congregation who are unable to be present at church because of illness or infirmity.

This group arranges the flowers for each Sunday service, weddings, holidays, funerals, and other special occasions at Ascension.

Funeral Guild
Do you feel called to a ministry of kindness a few times a year to those who are grieving? Our Funeral Guild members are ministers of hospitality to families who are here at Ascension for the memorial service or burial of someone they love. They make sure that grieving families are as comfortable as possible while they are here.

Greeters
Come and serve as the welcoming arms of the church! On Sunday mornings and other special services, greeters help welcome and direct visitors and regulars alike.

Grace-To-Go
This is a pastoral care ministry that provides food to those in need of a good meal. Our parishioners prepare and package meals that are stored at the church, ready to be shared with parishioners and those outside our church.

This group reads scripture and prayers at Sunday services as well as funeral services.

Office Volunteers
Parishioners volunteer a morning or afternoon to be at our front desk, answering phone calls, responding to door bells, and greeting and directing visitors to the church.

Soundboard & Livestream Operating
Soundboard operators assist with the operation of the sound equipment while livestream operators assist with the operation of the livestreaming equipment for services and other events.
